How To Set Up Goals In Google Analytics
Tracking goals in Google Analytics is very important to your overall marketing strategy. It can help you track all your website’s visitors’ activities and measure the level of engagement with your content, products/ service.
Not only that, setting up goals in Google Analytics, helps you track all marketing budget effectiveness and much more. In this blog, I will share with you how to set up quick goals.
First, you need to log into your Google analytics with your username and password.
Once you are logged in, click on admin gear, you can find it in the left side button of the page as shown below.
It will show you all the options and tasks you can create and will find Google Analytics Goals on the far right of the screen as shown below
Click on + New Goal labeled in red color as shown below
Once you click +New goal, you will have a set of goals options such as revenue goals, engagement goals, or acquisition goals. Based on your business goals, you should set up what you want to track when your potential customer is on your site.
Add the Google Analytics goal name/description
Example: Appointment, Free Quote, Estimates, etc… then choose what type, it can be thank you page after form submission or it can be video completion or whatever event that you are tracking
Then add the destination by simply going to your website, choose which page you want to track Google Analytics goals on, and copy the link and add it in the goal details then save
You can assign value to your conversion to quantify ROAS (return on ad spend)
